Description Introduction RETTEW is seeking an entry-level Construction Manager to assist in managing construction phase services for various project types including utility, municipal, and industrial market projects. This role is responsible for coordinating with field staff, clients and contractors, while working with our internal Construction Management and Engineering staff. Work Environment Location: Williamsport, State College, or Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania Hybrid Project Locations: May spend short durations (1 week or less) assigned to project locations. Otherwise, regular daytime travel to be expected. Responsibilities include operating company-owned vehicles and performing field-based work in active construction and utility environments. Position Summary The Junior Construction Manager assists in managing construction phase services for utility, municipal, and industrial market projects, including water and wastewater facilities, natural gas pipelines, , manufacturing and site development improvements. This role ensures construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, budgets, and schedules while maintaining strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal project teams. Responsibilities Assist in managing construction phase services from notice to proceed through project closeout Assist the lead Construction Manager and coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal design teams Monitor project schedules, budgets, change orders, and contract compliance Review contractor pay applications and recommend approval Facilitate construction progress meetings and prepare detailed documentation Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining alignment with project goals Ensure safety standards and regulatory requirements are upheld throughout construction Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Understanding of contract documents, specifications, and construction administration processes Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites Construction management or construction observation experience not required but a plus.
