Description
Title: Junior Consultant, Advisory & Consulting Reporting to the Principal Consultant, the individual will work within the Global Energy Security team, in close collaboration with the organization’s vast engineering, technology, and scientific resource base. Functional job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Provide input into a range of consulting projects (concept studies, feasibility studies, pre-FEED, transaction advisory work) through the operation of sophisticated internal models. Provide engineering review and calculation related to candidate’s academic discipline Support Project Managers in all phases of project planning and execution on domestic and international projects Conduct structured desktop research on technical and commercial topics and translate findings into actionable insights for feasibility and strategy studies. Develop new analyses, create and deliver presentations and reports. Develop complex economic models that assess various energy assets and simulate global commodity trade flows. Perform predictive analytics that evaluate investment decisions using various statistical concepts and tools. Review projects internally and identify follow-up and re-sale opportunities. Coordinate resources and expertise with other offices and business units worldwide to deliver leading-edge solutions and excellent techno-commercial outcomes. Support the Director and other Principals in developing creative advisory solutions tailored to clients' bespoke requirements. Provide input and support for strategic market communications. Job Requirements: Degree in Engineering, preferably with additional qualifications in Business or Economics. 3 years of energy/related industry experience (e.g: Refining, Petrochemicals & chemicals, Power, LNG, low/no carbon alternatives, CCUS). Experience working with consulting teams, or participating in multidisciplinary project environments, will be an advantage. Ability to support delivery of feasibility study projects, including coordinating inputs and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Good understanding of Energy Security and Transition technical concepts and commercial feasibility with willingness to deepen knowledge in technical and commercial dimensions. Demonstrate business acumen (ability to grasp the commercial feasibility of proposals) and financial literacy (ability to understand basic financial concepts and evaluation methods). Ability to work collaboratively with direct team members, as well as broader colleagues.
