POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Junior Corporate Finance Analyst to join our dynamic city-based corporate finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career analyst with strong theoretical and analytical skills to broaden their scope of work and the value they deliver to clients. With 1 - 2 years’ experience in corporate financial data analysis or a related field, the successful candidate will conduct in-depth financial analysis and leverage this data to support clients in making informed investment and corporate finance decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics or finance.
  • 1-3 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or a related financial advisory role.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Commitment to professional growth, ethical standards, and delivering value to clients.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial modelling, valuation techniques, and mathematical models.
Responsibilities
  • Consult with clients to identify financial, investment, and business objectives, risk tolerance, and preferences and to identify specific areas to be examined.
  • Analyse and interpret historical financial statements and apply modelling to identify key drivers of financial performance and specify the methodology used in data collection and analysis.
  • Mine corporate data and cleanse, analyse and interpret data to describe and infer particle trends and provide information in a clear manner to management and clients.
  • Prepare financial data books and core financial analyses such as quality of earnings, working capital, and net debt, ensuring data integrity at all times.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise findings, reports, and recommendations to senior team members and clients.
  • Use numerical analysis to monitor performance in key drivers and success of implemented strategies, propose improvements and report back to clients on success of strategies
  • Participate in management Q&A sessions and client meetings as required.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor tailored corporate financial plans and adjust and recast plans as variations are noted.
  • Review and challenge key drivers of forecast financial performance, including detailed analysis of business plans, forecasts, and trading trends.
