Main Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Payments
Assist with purchase order creation and receipting
Support accurate supplier payment processes in SAP
Resolve payment discrepancies and manage urgent requests
Monitor project cash flow
Subcontractor Administration
Set up subcontractor contracts in SAP
Process and validate monthly payment claims
Ensure timely payment processing
Client Contracts & Billing
Open new projects in SAP following contract signature
Maintain contract data and access permissions
Raise project invoices and update contract values
Monthly Project Cost Control
Process monthly recharge files (expenses, salaries, etc.)
Allocate and verify staff costs with site cost controllers
Raise and track intercompany recharges
Review project forecasts with project managers
Post accruals and prepare monthly reporting for review meetings
Support preparation of Applications for Payment (AFP)
Compile documentation for NEC contracts and support client audits
General Administration
Support IT and equipment requests for sites
Assist employees with expense systems (Concur)
Provide ad hoc admin support for project teams
Profile Sought
Education
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with accounting modules (essential)
Experience
Entry-level applicants welcome
Previous experience in finance, cost control, or the construction industry is advantageous
Competencies
Strong communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the business
High attention to detail and analytical mindset
Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed
Willingness to occasionally travel within the UK
Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel essential)
Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
Solid understanding of accounting principles
