Description
SAIC is looking for a Junior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the STARS team in Huntsville, AL/Redstone Arsenal.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Support the implementation of security measures in compliance with federal laws, regulations, and guidelines, including FISMA, NIST, and other relevant policies
  • Assist in the creation, maintenance, and updating of security documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Assist in managing Tenable.SC systems reporting
  • Assist in management of Endpoint Security Suite (ESS)
  • Participate in the identification and remediation of system vulnerabilities
  • Work collaboratively with other security team members to ensure cohesive security operations
  • Communicate security-related issues and status updates to senior ISSOs and management
    Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and zero (0) years of experience; four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience using or validating monitoring tools such as HBSS, ACAS, SIEMs, and others
  • Strong working knowledge of Cyber Security practices/procedures (DISA STIGs, RMF, eMASS, HBSS)
  • Ability to work with the customer in a team environment
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Desired experience working in special access programs
    Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site
