Description

ABOUT US…

Although you may not have heard of BoilerJuice, we are an established company with a proven business model and a solid customer base. We are different from a lot of other ecommerce businesses because the logistics for delivering domestic heating oil are a bit more complicated than for many other products you can buy online!
Whilst we’re excited about what we do, we like to think we’re relatively down-to-earth. We don’t have a big hierarchy, a special dress code, or a company song about heating oil.

MORE ABOUT US: THE UK’S NUMBER 1 HEATING OIL MARKETPLACE

For the 1.5 million UK homes who depend on oil for heating and hot water, BoilerJuice makes life easier. We help hundreds of thousands of them get a better price and a more convenient service by connecting them impartially with nearly all the suppliers in the market.
We provide a valuable service and this, coupled with our excellent customer services means that we have high levels of loyalty and have opportunities to extend our relationship.

ABOUT YOU…

Our Junior Data Analyst role is ideal for someone with a numerical degree who is keen to develop their technical and analytical skills in a supportive, commercially focused environment. You don’t need to know everything on day one — we provide training in tools like SQL, Python, Tableau, and Databricks.
We’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic person with a strong mathematical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to collaborate with colleagues across different areas of the business.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, 2-person insights team that works across a wide range of business areas — including customer services, marketing, pricing, operations, and supplier management. While we each bring different strengths, we operate as a team, supporting each other and continuously learning together to deliver impactful, data-led insights.

Responsibilities

Support a range of teams across the business by providing data-led insights to inform decision-making

  • Build a broad understanding of our customers, suppliers, pricing models, and operations
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that help the business monitor performance and identify opportunities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in areas like customer service, marketing, operations, and commercial to define and deliver analytical work
  • Contribute to testing and experimentation across different parts of the business, including pricing and customer experience
  • Support forecasting and performance tracking across key business metrics
  • Work with modern data tools and infrastructure, including Databricks (with training provided)

    • Collaborate with the wider Business Insights team and provide cover across shared responsibilities as needed
