JOB TITLE: JUNIOR DATA CABLING ENGINEER

Reports to: Senior Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Data Cabling Engineer to join our dynamic team in Southampton. Role Overview: The Junior Data Cabling Engineer will play a crucial role in the installation, termination, and fault finding of data cabling across various sites in Southampton. This position involves assisting the Senior Engineer ensuring the delivery of high-quality work and maintaining excellent customer service standards. The Junior Data Cabling Engineer work closely with Senior Data Cabling Engineer installing all copper, fibre along all types of containment to a high standard.

You will need to be hardworking, honest, and approachable with good communication skills. The successful candidate will become an integral member of the team and will work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.

Within this role you will learn to carry out all aspects of data cabling from Copper to Fibre installations.

• Installing CAT6, CAT6a, CAT7 Data Networks
• Install basket tray, cable tray, PVC Trunking and general containment
• Working in a team environment
• Terminating CAT6 and CAT6a CAT7 cable by a number of manufacturers
• Discuss the work with the customer on site and communicate this back to the Project Manager
• ECS is advantageous but not necessary as training will be provided to gain the appropriate card
• Job related Training

This position will involve carrying out data cabling contracts at various sites mainly across the Southampton area
· Full-time position, paid overtime is available on a regular basis, overtime rates apply.
· Holiday entitlement: 28 days (inclusive of bank holidays)
