We’re looking for two Junior Data Engineers who are early in their career, curious by nature, and ready to roll up their sleeves. You’ll help us deliver trusted, high-quality data that powers everything from reporting to decision-making, while learning modern engineering best practice in a genuinely supportive environment. If you enjoy solving problems, building things properly, and want to grow alongside experienced engineers, this role is for you. What you’ll be doing You’ll work hands-on with our modern data platform (AWS, Snowflake and dbt) to build reliable, scalable data solutions. With guidance from senior engineers, you’ll: Build and maintain batch data pipelines across AWS, Snowflake and dbt Develop and improve dbt models and tests to keep our data accurate and consistent Monitor scheduled jobs and data quality checks, investigating issues when things go wrong Troubleshoot pipeline failures and performance problems, learning from post-mortems Work closely with Analytics and Salesforce teams to understand requirements and turn them into technical solutions Contribute to documentation, version control and code reviews Follow secure engineering practices when handling sensitive data Help design and maintain analytics-ready data models, including clear fact and dimension tables About you As our ideal candidate, you should possess: Experience building or supporting data pipelines, reporting datasets, or ETL/ELT processes Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug issues and clearly explain your approach Good SQL capability (joins, aggregations, basic window functions) and confidence writing data transformations Working knowledge of Python for data tasks (scripts, automation, APIs/files), with appetite to deepen skills Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses (queries, compute, roles/access basics) Ability to work in a structured delivery environment (tickets, priorities, deadlines) A collaborative mindset, be coachable, and open to feedback through pairing, reviews, and mentoring Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements, ask smart questions, and iterate towards solutions Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau (or similar) and how data is used for reporting The interview process Initial conversation with one of our Talent Acquisition Team - 30 mins 1st Stage, Teams interview with the Hiring Manager - 30 mins Final stage, In person interview with the hiring manager and Head of Contact Centre & AI - 1 hour About Bionic Group Bionic has over 630 people working across three office locations and four businesses; Bionic - London, Bionic Outbound – Luton, Think Business Loans – Chelmsford, and Smart – Field based agents.
