Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a Master’s degree (minimum requirement) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or a candidate currently pursuing a Ph.D.. The candidate should bring at least 1 year of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics.
The Junior Data Scientist will work closely with senior data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to support data-driven decision-making, build predictive models, and generate actionable insights.

EDUCATION:

  • Required: Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
  • Preferred: Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Minimum 1 year of practical experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R; experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and working knowledge of databases.
  • Ability to use data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, or Power BI).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and data modeling techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work in a team environment.

    Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

  • Support data visualization efforts and create dashboards/reports to communicate findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to apply data-driven solutions.
  • Contribute to research initiatives and proof-of-concept projects in AI/ML.
  • Stay current with emerging data science tools, techniques, and best practices.
