Description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
To Support in creating alignment between Financial (Sales Planning – IBP), Channel, Brand and Supply Planning using the SAP IBP environment to harmonize and house this single source of truth.
To provide an accurate forecast of future demand which maximizes the sales opportunity while minimizing excess stock risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow up with channels to ensure demand is captured within the agreed cut-off dates
  • To ensure article classification is maintained and regularly reviewed
  • Analyze supply constraints and determine the impact on the overall Demand Plan
  • Follow up on supply constraints and drive timeous resolutions where required
  • Prepare and submit bi-monthly supply constraint reports to the Senior Manager Demand Planning.
  • Provide the required information to the PSI team to ensure accurate buy decisions are made
  • Support with the preparation of the exceptional buy template.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Operational Demand Planning process
  • Provide support to the Demand Planning Managers as required
  • Support the DTC teams with clearance planning in IBP

Key Relationships:

  • Cluster: CTC (Brand), Sales (Wholesale and DTC) and SCM (Product Supply Interface)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, negotiation)
  • Pro-active, collaborative and positive attitude even in changing environments.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and work against deadlines to deliver high-quality work on time in full.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge
  • Global mind-set and ability to work cross-culturally; experience within different countries and/or different cultures an advantage.
  • IT skills: Outlook and Word: Intermediate; Excel and PowerPoint: advanced
  • PowerBI and SAP knowledge preferable
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is a must. Skills and abilities in another language are a benefit

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in financial management/accounting
  • Business: minimum 4+ years
  • Functional: minimum 3+ years’ experience merchandising, sales/retail or finance, ideally in the sporting goods industry
  • Cross-functional experience ideally with marketing / sales / finance
  • Industry: sporting goods / retail / consumer goods
