Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be involved in Mechanical Development for Innovative Aerospace Solutions. As part of the New Product Introduction Engineering team, you will work on the latest aircraft cabin systems with the world’s largest manufacturers using the latest technologies. The position is on-site and located in Cwmbran, South Wales.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the development of Mechanical components and assemblies in compliance with specified requirements.
  • Develops mechanical solutions to Customer Needs and Regulatory Requirements in order to support New Product system designs.
  • Generates supporting documentation during the development of the solution in accordance with defined Engineering procedures.
  • Develops and tests prototypes to determine technical feasibility.
  • Supports relevant Integration and Qualification Activities in ensuring the assigned design element works as part of the broader system.
  • Contributes to component selection and definition in the STG Aerospace development tools.
  • Coordinates with design teams the development of new design ideas and techniques.
  • Follows Design & Development Processes and Procedures and completes relevant checklists during the development of product solutions.
  • Follows configuration management processes and identifies solutions where product or process falls short of such requirements.
