DESCRIPTION
Trafalgar Engineering has an immediate opening for the full-time position of a junior designer/Engineer-in-Training (EIT). Responsibilities are outlined in further detail below, but generally include the design of stormwater management facilities, storm and sanitary sewers, watermains, grading, and hydrologic and hydraulic analyses. As a successful candidate, you must be dedicated to providing quality service to protect the interests of the public and the client. · Assist in the preparation of Functional Servicing and Stormwater Management Reports, stormwater management, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain designs.
· Assist in the preparation of grading and servicing designs for land development projects.
· Assist in the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic calculations to support the preparation of Flood Studies utilizing HEC-RAS and SWMM.
· Prepare supporting calculations and documentation.
· Assist in the preparation of design drawings utilizing AutoCAD.
· Assist in the preparation of submission packages to various agencies in support of approvals.
· Assist in contract administration duties including the preparation of tender, contract, and related documents including payment certificates and progress reports.
· Undertake earthworks calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and perform quantity takeoffs.
· Assist in field review and monitoring to ensure conformity with the contract documents, plans, specifications, and regulations.
