Mō te Tūranga | About the Role The role will focus on delivering key programme objectives and addressing technical debt. Current priorities include data synchronisation and ensuring accurate data flow between systems. Future work will involve integrating additional components and managing technical improvements such as framework upgrades, tool migrations, and library updates. Designing and implementing Spring Boot microservices for core business applications Deploying and managing services on Kubernetes and cloud platforms Enhancing API security and performance Supporting CI/CD pipeline improvements and automation Contributing to observability and monitoring initiatives What is the team culture and environment like? Managing technical debt, keeping systems secure and current, handling upgrades and migrations, while meeting delivery deadlines for the Customer Master Program. What technical skills are required for this role? Alongside a qualification in Computer Science, we are looking for someone learning agility and the ability to work collaboratively in Agile environment. You will also bring a strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality, and at least 1 year experience in: Java/Spring Boot Cloud platforms (AWS EKS, OpenShift) Microservices and Kafka Banking and financial services What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? We are looking for someone with excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking, who also has the adaptability to new technologies and evolving priorities.
