Junior Digital Product Designer
Are you a junior Digital Product Designer passionate about cycling and sports? Are you
passionate about creating high-end digital products? If so, put your skills and knowledge to
use in our digital team and help us build the world’s best indoor cycling app and shape the
future of indoor cycling.

OVERVIEW

We are looking for a full-time Junior Product Designer to join the Tacx Digital Team at our
headquarters in the Netherlands. Our team’s mission is to provide an indoor cycling
experience that is more realistic, challenging, and fun.
Tacx has a passionate, devoted group of customers that use our products to pursue their
cycling goals. Our team has the privilege of helping these customers push their limits with
innovative indoor bike trainers that let them work out their way and provide a realistic ride
feel.
As a Junior Product Designer, you will work on the Tacx app, which is the indoor cycling
application that connects with Tacx trainers to deliver realistic, challenging, and immersive
ride experiences for cyclists around the world. The app is available on iOS, Android, and
Windows.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the design of new features and improvements across the
Tacx platform. You’ll be involved in all stages of the design process, from early wireframes
to final visual polish, and apply your skills in user experience, interaction, and visual design.
Strong collaboration is essential, as you’ll work closely with two experienced Product
Designers and partner with the Software Development team to turn ideas into well-executed
solutions. This is a great opportunity to grow your design skills while helping shape an
exceptional indoor cycling experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Design, Human Factors, Visual Design or a degree with
    an equivalent curriculum that teaches user-centered design principles, or equivalent

practical experience.

  • 2 or more years of experience designing for web, Android, and iOS.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional stakeholders

throughout the design process (i.e., from design hypothesis to creating user flows and

wireframes to the specification and build of user interface mockups and prototypes).

  • A portfolio that demonstrates refined digital product design skills across multiple

projects.

  • Proficient knowledge of usability principles.
  • Proficient abilities implementing a design thinking process.
  • Proficient knowledge of design principles.
  • Proficient knowledge of user interface design principles.
  • Proficient abilities designing screens and user interfaces.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • You’re passionate about Garmin products.
  • You have technical knowledge that helps you bridge gaps between engineering and

design environments.

  • You have knowledge and enthusiasm about accessible and inclusive design.
Responsibilities
  • Proficient use and knowledge of UX/UI design tools such as Figma.
  • Support product designer in maintaining and applying a design system for several

devices.

  • Familiarity with inclusive design and accessibility standards and tools.
  • Take ownership of key features in a product line.
  • Create high-level prototypes, contribute and participate in user interviews and

observational research.

  • Interpret research data to create viable solutions.
  • Define and design product interactions with stakeholders or partners.
  • Demonstrate the full use of design standards and procedures in performance of essential

functions.
