THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a Junior Drafting Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in architectural drafting who is eager to grow in the window, door, and façade industry.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1–2 years of drafting and detailing experience, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Diploma in Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering Technology
• Knowledge of window, door, and curtain wall systems (considered an asset)
• Solid understanding of windows, doors, curtain wall, and railing systems
• Effective technical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Adobe PDF Editor (considered an asset)
• Familiarity with Orgadata/Logikal window and door software (considered an asset)

• Prepare detailed structural design drawings for residential projects, ensuring all deliverables meet project specifications and timelines
• Verify final frame and glass sizes, and assess the constructability of windows and doors
• Collaborate with the Production and Projects Teams to review designs, address drawing-related issues, and communicate project status
• Interpret and apply relevant codes, standards, and company policies
• Identify and raise design or coordination issues, providing suggestions for resolution
