Our extrusion plants have earned the reputation: “Built in Africa for Africa!” To support our continued growth, CFAM has a position available for a dedicated and self-motivated Junior Mechanical Draughtsman to support the Engineering team. Job Description Compile detailed fabrication/manufacturing drawings as required Reconstruct drawing from given measurements Support Draughting office in rendering outputs as required Create data packs (Bill of Material: BOM, detail drawings, assembly drawings etc) Intepret drawings and specifications Support design engineers on design draughting and modelling Assist with procurement duties of the draughting department Transforms initial rough CAD designs into working geometry for simulation Maintain the administration of vault/PDM system Qualifications National Diploma in Mechanical Draughting 3D CAD-Solidworks modelling and drawing experience General engineering manfacturing processes knowledge 2-3 years work experience Additional Information Key Skills & Competencies Good understanding and ability to use dimensional measuring instruments Ability to work independently as well as in a team Pay attention to detail Ability to work on several ongoing projects at the same time Ability to analyze and interpret technical data Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to do high repetitive or routine work Ability to work on tight deadlines Only successful candidates will be contacted by the office in Potchefstroom.
