Our client is a leading interior fit out specialist focusing on high end bespoke joinery projects. We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Draughtsman to join our dynamic team and contribute to the creation of exceptional design drawings and technical documentation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D with the ability to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings
• 1-3 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in the bespoke joinery or furniture design industry
• Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent spatial awareness and ability to visualise 3D objects from 2D drawings
• Knowledge of industry standards and building regulations related to joinery and furniture design
• Familiarity with other design software such as SketchUp, Revit, or SolidWorks is a plus
• Good mathematical skills and attention to detail

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD for bespoke joinery projects & architectural elements
• Develop technical specifications, material lists, and cutting lists for manufacturing purposes
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into accurate technical drawings
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, building regulations, and company guidelines
• Perform site surveys and measurements to gather accurate data for project drawings
• Assist in creating presentation drawings and renderings for client approval
• Maintain and organise digital drawing archives and project documentation
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements and design solutions
• Stay updated with the latest CAD software developments and industry trends
• Support senior draughtsmen and designers in complex projects as required
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure drawings are accurately interpreted and executed
• Assist in creating assembly instructions and installation guides for manufactured items
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the company’s CAD standards and best practices
