THE OPPORTUNITY:

Tetra Tech is adding an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to our Electrical team based in Vancouver, BC.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Registration with EGBC as an Engineer-in-Training or eligibility for registration.
• 0-5 years of experience – new grads welcome to apply!
• Heavy industrial or consulting experience is considered an asset.
• Familiar with Canadian Electrical Code and other related standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

• Contributing to the concept, development and design of components, subsystems or processes.
• Sizing and specification of electrical equipment.
• Basic cable and tray sizing calculations.
• Electrical heat tracing calculations, power system calculations, specifications of electrical equipment.
• Prepare simple plans and designs for electrical equipment layouts and power distribution.
• Perform routine technical surveys.
• Help ensure all project scope items are addressed and quality objectives met.
• Help ensure project schedules and budgets are maintained and adhered to.
• Work closely with other disciplines and share knowledge with colleagues within the company and with clients.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.
