REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 13 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or construction-related roles
  • Exposure to or interest in commercial/public works construction
  • Ability to read basic construction drawings and plans
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Solid computer skills; familiarity with Excel and Google Suite
  • Willingness to learn estimating software (Accubid, Bluebeam, Procore)
  • Great communicator and team player
  • Field electrical experience, trade school, or construction-related education is a plus

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Junior Electrical Estimator, you’ll assist in preparing estimates, reviewing drawings and specifications, gathering material pricing, and supporting our senior team throughout the bidding process. You’ll get hands-on exposure to Accubid and other tools while learning how public and commercial construction estimating really works.
This role is ideal for someone organized, curious, and eager to grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the estimating team in preparing detailed electrical bids for public and private projects
  • Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to understand scope
  • Perform quantity takeoffs with direction from senior estimators
  • Collect pricing and product data from vendors and subs
  • Assist with bid submissions, proposals, and document organization
  • Learn to use tools like Accubid, Bluebeam, and internal tracking systems
  • Participate in internal bid reviews and post-bid debriefs
  • Stay informed about industry changes, code updates, and tech tools
