Description

Are you a Junior Electrical & Mechanical Engineer seeking a long-established, close-knit company where you’ll benefit from continuous training, career development, and the chance to progress into new roles as the business grows?
Do you want the opportunity to join a third-generation, family-run engineering firm with over 100 years of excellence, a reputation for high-quality workmanship, and a track record of retaining staff long term?
On offer is a fantastic opening with a company that’s been a leader in electric motor rewinds and mechanical overhauls who is well established, they provide specialist services to a wide range of sectors and have built a name based on quality, consistency, and adaptability. Still proudly family-owned, they’ve created a supportive, people-focused environment where staff receive 1-to-1 in-house training and access to external courses to support career progression.
In this role, you’ll be working across both the electrical and mechanical sides of the business, carrying out tasks such as stripping and repairing motors, pumps, and gearboxes, managing site removals and re-installations, and completing quotes and final testing. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a 1-in-7 week call-out rota and opportunities for overtime. Around 70% of your time will be based in the company’s busy, well-equipped workshop, with the remaining 30% spent on-site across the UK, where you’ll represent the business with professionalism and technical expertise.
This role would suit a Junior Electrical & Mechanical Engineer seeking a long-established, close-knit company where you’ll benefit from continuous training, career development, and the chance to progress into new roles as the business grows.

Responsibilities
  • Overhaul, rewind, repair, and test motors, pumps, and gearboxes
  • Work in the workshop and travel to sites for installations/removals
  • Join a 1-in-7 on-call rota for emergency work
