  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field
  • A solid foundation in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) disciplines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills

Ideally, you will have

  • Previous exposure to medical device development
  • Experience using electronic CAD and simulation software
  • Skills with precision mechanical assemblies and basic electronics construction
  • Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, etc.), assembly and rework equipment, and machine shop tools and equipment
  • Cabling and wiring of complex electro-mechanical systems.

This is a temporary position for six months with the possibility of extension. Compensation will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate and is expected to fall within the range of $4,500 - $7,000 per month.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of our R&D and Engineering team, you will participate in an interdisciplinary development project including the following:

  • Radiofrequency and electronic design and prototyping including vendor engagement, fabrication, assembly, test, evaluation, and documentation
  • Analysis and simulation
  • Test setup design and implementation including biological tissue-mimicking phantom development for RF testing
  • Planning and conducting exploratory and verification tests of system and components
  • Literature searches and reviews to support the activities above
  • Fabrication and assembly process development and improvement

Your work may include elements of electrical engineering, software development and mechanical engineering.
