PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE?

The Alarm/Access Control Electronics Technician at DOOR plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless functionality and deployment of our access control devices. This position ensures our customers experience efficient device operations by actively preparing new devices for installation and expertly managing the repair and refurbishment of returned units. As a key member of the Operations team, this role directly contributes to DOOR’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining the integrity of our innovative smart building solutions.

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Alarm/Access Control Electronics Technician to join our Operations team, you will work under the guidance of our Senior Solutions Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and contribute to ensuring smooth and efficient device operations for our customers.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Device Activation and Preparation for Deployment:

  • Activate and test new devices to ensure full functionality.
  • Update firmware and provision devices to the correct property and access points.
  • Ensure properties and devices are correctly configured in our system.
  • Label devices and boxes with accurate location information to streamline the onsite

installation process.

  • Partner with the Senior Solutions Engineer to ensure installers have everything they

need to execute flawlessly in the field.

Device Returns and Refurbishment (RMA):

  • Receive and inspect returned devices for faults or damages.
  • Assess devices for refurbishment or dismantling for spare parts.
  • Perform necessary repairs and testing to prepare refurbished devices for redeployment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all RMA activities and device statuses.

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO DOOR?

Technical Skills:
