ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGIST (8-MONTH CONTRACT)

Luzchem Research Inc., a small, strong and stable manufacturing company with 28 years of successful operation, is seeking an Electronics Technologist to join our team for an 8-month contract. We are located in Canotek Park, Ottawa (Gloucester).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Luzchem Research is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Electronics Technologist to join our team. You’ll play a hands-on role in assembling and improving laboratory equipment used worldwide, while gaining valuable experience in product development and electronics manufacturing.

Duties:

  • Assembly & Manufacturing: Assemble products, package for shipment, and maintain organization.
  • Documentation & Development: Document designs/procedures, contribute to product development and improvement. Aid in a variety of manufacturing and quality-control related tasks
  • Support & Quality Control: Assist with QC, provide support to team/admin.

SOFTWARE PRODUCTS AND SKILLS:

  • CAD Proficiency: update and review technical drawings using SolidWorks CAD software
  • Office: Use of Microsoft Office to review, read and update documentation and email communication
  • LabVIEW: Experience with National Instruments equipment and software

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma as Electronics Technician or equivalent.
  • Able to read & follow circuit diagrams and CAD drawings
  • Excellent Communication
  • Willing and able to accept instruction
  • Fast Learner with strong motivation for self-improvement
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must be open to varied tasks, not always specific to the job description
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving

EXPERIENCE:

  • For this entry-level position, minimal electronics employment experience is required.
