We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Engineer to join our maintenance team in London. As a Junior Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our experienced engineers in maintaining plant, equipment, and building services across our client’s sites.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering (or currently studying towards one)
  • Basic electrical and mechanical competences/qualifications (e.g. City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition)
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from experienced engineers
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
  • Ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends, as required
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Junior Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting experienced engineers with routine maintenance tasks, including fault finding and repair of equipment
  • Gaining experience in electrical and mechanical systems, including 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters
  • Developing skills in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Learning to use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment
  • Assisting with risk assessments and ensuring safe and accurate completion of tasks
  • Working on mobile devices to accurately project and complete tasks from the CAFM maintenance system
  • Liaising with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues
  • Supporting the maintenance team with ad-hoc duties as needed
