Your new role Ramboll Italy is seeking a Junior Engineering Geologist to join its collaborative team in Italy/ Spain. This individual will serve a key function providing the hands-on technical contribution with specific focus on Geotechnical Site Assessment, due diligence work in the M&A sector and soil and groundwater investigation with emphasis on ground conditions assessment, producing technical specifications, plans, foundations and underground structures design and other geotechnical aspects of construction. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally on premier land development projects. Your key responsibilities will be: Organising and supervising Site Investigation Contributing to engineering risk assessments, technical documents, and calculations Contributing to the technical due diligence, soil risk assessment, and risk mitigation in accordance with the current design Standards, Codes of Practice, and best practice Assisting a wide range of geotechnical design work, fully compliant with Eurocodes Assisting in the preparation of expressions of interest and tenders, including cost estimates Development and technical assurance of design, including client’s presentations and reports About you Bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology or Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required, Master's degree strongly preferred A working knowledge of a range of geotechnical software, including Geo Studio suite (Slope/W, Seep/W) or similar Some working experience in a design environment is preferred Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
