VANRATH are assisting a Major Growing Client with the Recruitment of a Junior Environmental Advisor to join a dynamic and experienced team based in Enniskillen.
This is a progression based role with the views to promote the successful candidate into a Senior role within 9-12 months.
Salary - Fully Negotiable Depending on Experience + Benefits Package
Hours - 40/42 Hours p/w - Mon - Thu - 08:00 - 17:30 - Fri 08:00 - 16:00

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Environmental Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on environmental issues, conducting assessments, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of project management and technical skills to effectively contribute to various projects aimed at promoting sustainability and minimising environmental impact.

SKILLS

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D for design purposes.
  • Experience with ArcGIS for data analysis and visualisation.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess complex environmental issues.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to environmental systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Environmental inspections and Audits of sites.
  • Provision of assistance to senior and divisional management in relation to environmental issues.
  • Day to day management of ISO 14001:2015 Certified Environmental Management Systems.
  • Monitoring of compliance with Environmental Licences/ Permits/ Planning Permissions for sites.
  • Identification of staff training needs and provision of environmental training to staff as required.
  • Identifying improvements in environmental performance and developing programmes to effect performance improvement.
  • Assist in developing and implementing sustainability programmes within the company.
  • Assist with biodiversity improvement programmes and liaison with external parties on biodiversity related schemes.
  • Compliance with Company Health & Safety Policies and liaison with the group H&S department where required.
