JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time role. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Engage in multiple projects and products simultaneously, ranging from writing feasibility reports to determining applicable Dutch and European laws for various projects.
  • Prepare permit applications and manage the legal and regulatory aspects of the projects.
  • Participate in the entire project lifecycle, from the quotation stage through to execution and evaluation with the client.
  • Critical thinking, and support in managing project workloads by for example guiding and training junior staff.
  • Collaborate extensively with both internal colleagues and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Possess an affinity for and preferably experience with spatial procedures and regulations, as well as handling (large-scale) spatial developments.
  • Specialize in translating spatial possibilities into practical solutions, particularly for projects at the intersection of planning and execution.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences/law, Urban Planning or a related field.
  • Strong interest in European law, permitting processes, and Environmental Impact Assessments, with basic knowledge or willingness to develop expertise in areas such as environmental economics, legislation, spatial planning, and/or environmental and social impact assessment.
  • Willingness to gain a basis understanding of the Dutch language.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical Mindset: Highly proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to work.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including a collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Organizational Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quality and Technical Focus: Strong attention to quality and technical accuracy, with an ability to uphold high standards in environmental data interpretation and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to independently identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in dynamic environments and open to learning new tools and methodologies.
