JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Estimator to join our estimating team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in electrical estimating and construction management. This is assisting and learning position, Reports to Senior Estimator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0–2 years of experience in electrical estimating or related construction field.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work self sufficient

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Minimum 2 years industrial field experiance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools.
  • Support the preparation of bid proposals and presentations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other estimators to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed. Requires Travel.
  • Track and analyze historical cost data for future estimates.
