This role is responsible for preparing take offs, schedules and cost estimates across a variety of contract types, including lump sum, time and materials, and other delivery methods. Requirements Reports to: Estimating Manager Position: Full Time Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8AM-5PM Location: Odessa, FL (occasional travel is required to attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, conferences, etc.) Job Summary: The Junior Estimator will review bid specifications and drawings to develop a thorough understanding of project requirements and ensure accurate, competitive proposals. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties and Responsibilities: This position also requires proactive and consistent follow-up with clients to gather feedback on submitted proposals and support ongoing business development efforts. The Junior Estimator will collaborate closely with internal teams throughout all phases of the bidding process. Exposure to scheduling software, such as Primavera, is considered a strong plus. Requirements: Experience in deep foundations or heavy civil works is a plus. Some project estimator skills that include performing basic engineering calculations, being familiar with engineering terminology and effectively communicate with Engineers, Project Managers, and vendors is a plus. Strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and with minimal structure while exercising sound judgment. Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook). Preferred knowledge of AutoCAD Preferred knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project Assist the team on other relevant submittals and documents. Generate dashboards, and status reports for management. Any other relevant duties assigned by the Estimating Manager. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering 0-2 years of experience Preferred related Estimating experience.
