POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Junior Estimator to join our estimating team. This is an entry-level role, perfect for someone eager to start a career in construction estimating and the electrical industry. The Junior Estimator will provide support to our experienced estimating team, learning the ins and outs of the trade while contributing to project bids and proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong interest in construction, estimating, or the electrical trade
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and technical information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or a related field is an asset but not required
  • Previous construction or electrical experience is an asset but not required

Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing estimates for electrical construction projects
  • Work with drawings, specifications, and other documents to quantify materials and labour
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, pricing, and supplier/subcontractor information
  • Support the team with take-offs, data entry, and bid preparation
  • Learn and apply company processes, systems, and industry best practices
  • Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal team members to gather information as needed
