As a Technical Estimator and Junior Designer, you will be at the forefront of our estimation and design process, utilizing your technical acumen to create accurate project estimations that align with our commitment to excellence. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to grow within a supportive, collaborative and incredibly fast paced environment. QUALIFICATIONS, TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL PRE-REQUISITES

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Packaging Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Sketchup and technical design tools.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Enthusiasm for staying updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience 2-3 years in GCC or home country (UAE Freshers may apply if home country experience is 3+ years working in AutoCAD)
• Fluent in verbal and non-verbal communication (Fluency in English, Hindi/Urdu/Arabic or any other language is a plus)
• In-depth knowledge of building materials and purchasing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities

• Engage with the sales team to collaboratively discuss and refine design ideas in design/sales meetings, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of client requirements and provide innovative solutions, contributing to the development of compelling product concepts and layouts.
• Utilize a comprehensive approach to estimate material and production costs, incorporating a thorough analysis of time, material, and labor factors, thereby optimizing resource allocation.
• Proactively engage with suppliers or fabricators to secure alternative materials in cases of unavailability or to accommodate specific client requests, fostering a seamless and flexible production process.
• Prioritize safety while meticulously measuring and tracing client equipment or tools, ensuring adherence to quality standards in every aspect of the production cycle.
• Translate client requirements into tangible layouts, leveraging creativity and design expertise to conceptualize visually appealing solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.
• Utilize proficient software skills, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D and 3D, CorelDraw, and Adobe Suite, to develop high-quality illustrations, logos, and designs in alignment with project objectives.
• Prepare detailed job cards for production, collaborating closely with the Production Supervisor to guarantee a seamless and error-free production process, consistently meeting quality standards.

Secondary Tasks

• Verify the accuracy of sizes provided to production and ensure grammatical correctness in logos/engraving details, reflecting meticulous attention to detail.
• Conduct thorough fact-checks to prevent the dissemination of false information, maintaining the integrity of project details and fostering a culture of accuracy.
• Demonstrate expertise in nesting and material utilization to minimize wastage, contributing to cost-effectiveness and sustainability in the production process.
• Operate CNC and laser engraving machines, showcasing technical proficiency, and promptly addressing any operational challenges that may arise.
