Hutchies is offering an exciting opportunity for a Junior Estimator to join our dedicated team at our Toowong office.
Embark on a journey to success with our comprehensive training program. You will have the unique opportunity to work closely with our National Quantity Surveyor. Over approximately six months, this personalised training phase will refine your skills and knowledge, making you proficient in the Hutchies approach.
Once you’ve mastered the essentials and understand the core values that define Hutchies, you’ll seamlessly transition into a team environment. Collaborating with experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors, you’ll find yourself immersed in a supportive and collaborative work environment. #RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Junior Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in preparing cost estimates and competitive tenders
  • Reviewing drawings, specs, and project documentation
  • Gathering pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Attending site visits to understand real-world project conditions
  • Supporting the team with scope reviews, quantity take-offs, and reporting
