Overview
The Junior Events Planner will assist the Events Manager in organizing three key events, handling logistics, vendor coordination, and execution. This role is essential in delivering high-quality, impactful events that align with BHPN’s mission

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and organizing events, including managing timelines, venues, catering, and logistics.
  • Communicate with vendors to secure services, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Support marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media posts, and attendee communications.
  • Provide logistical assistance at events, including setup, registration, and troubleshooting on the day of the event.
  • Collect feedback, assist with event evaluation, and manage follow-up tasks like billing and documentation.
  • Maintain event records, track budgets, and assist with general event planning tasks.
  • Oversee attendee registration, track RSVP responses, and manage communication with event participants.
  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Assist with compiling event reports, tracking key metrics, and documenting lessons learned for future events.

Qualifications

  • Some experience in event planning or coordination is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of events are well-coordinated and executed.
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of people, including team members, vendors, and event participants.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and other Google platforms.
  • Experience with event registration platforms and social media tools is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly resolve issues as they arise and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude, ensuring all event attendees have a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.The role is primarily remote, except for site visits, occasional in person meetings, meeting with vendors and attending events. The candidate should have access to a car.
Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
