Description Job Summary: The Junior Fabrication Technician supports the fabrication team in assembling, cutting, welding, and preparing materials for production. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn hands-on manufacturing processes, follow safety standards, and contribute to quality production output. Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and modification of metal or plastic components according to drawings, instructions, or templates. Operate basic shop equipment such as saws, grinders, drills, sanders, and measuring tools. Support senior fabricators and welders with setup, material handling, and part preparation. Perform simple welding or cutting tasks under supervision (if applicable). Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and proper dimensions. Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools are stored correctly. Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies. Report material shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervision. Assist with packaging, labeling, and staging finished components for shipment or next-stage processing. Education and Experience: · High school diploma or GED required; technical school or vocational training preferred. · Basic understanding of fabrication processes (cutting, measuring, drilling, grinding). · Ability to read simple blueprints or willingness to learn. · Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools. · Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. · Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment. Physical Requirements: · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. · Standing, bending, and moving throughout the shop for extended periods. · Ability to wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.).
