YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Degree in Facility Management, Civil/Construction/Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering operations and facility management practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

As a Junior Facility Engineer, you’ll support and execute facility projects across our logistics network—delivering safe, efficient, and compliant solutions that meet both client needs and Kuehne+Nagel standards. From project coordination to technical design and on-site execution, this is your chance to gain hands-on experience in engineering and project management within a global leader in logistics.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate facility projects with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Support the Contract Logistics Real Estate Project Manager with timely project reporting and updates.
  • Ensure all customer-specific quality and safety standards are embedded in each phase.
  • Oversee project lifecycle: from concept design, permits, and risk analysis to construction follow-up and execution.
  • Assist with budget tracking and documentation throughout the project.
  • Manage the facility handover process and support the operational transition to business-as-usual.
  • Prepare and review essential technical documents such as PRDs, method statements, and punch lists.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
