JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • No previous experience requires of field based B2B sales experience (Manufacturing and or Construction industry is a strong asset)
  • Availability for daily regional travel (90%) and occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable transportation, clean driving record, and current auto insurance

  • High level of sales-driven entrepreneurship – Incumbent must think/operate with a “hunter” mindset
  • Experience in developing/executing tactical sales strategies designed to bolster regional sales growth
  • Competency with sales productivity tools (Salesforce CRM experience is a strong asset)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and territorial zoning skills – Creating/owning a monthly schedule
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Exceptional prospecting & consultative selling skills – Ability to build/sustain strong customer relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills – Ability to appreciate & embrace different personalities
  • Resilience, tenacity, and self-confidence when faced with challenging circumstances
  • Ability to thrive both autonomously and within a remote, cross-functional team environment (Sales, Service, Logistics, Marketing, R&D)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (presenter skills are an asset)
  • Polished, professional presentation and an ethical demeanor
  • Understanding of architectural specifications and construction design elements (an asset)
Responsibilities
  • Identify new business opportunities while targeting key prospects to drive sustainable, profitable growth
  • Develop/strengthen customer relationships with key influencers & key decision makers
  • Visit construction jobsites and contractor offices to conduct product demonstrations and/or product testing
  • Train customers’ product installation teams on product selection, surface preparation & product application
  • Engage existing customers to create new opportunities for increased product mix, volume, and margin
  • Update/maintain account information and new opportunity pipeline daily (Salesforce CRM)
  • Analyze sales results; (re)define key customer potential; create-implement-adjust tactical sales strategy
  • Gather, analyze, and present market data to sales leadership (applications, products, pricing, volume, etc.)
  • Participation in Adfast-relevant networking events – Trade shows, Industry association mixers, etc.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership regarding key industry developments/trends across the region
