Express Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a well-established manufacturer and supplier of alarm and emergency response systems who supply their products throughout the UK. This role is the ideal starting point for a young individual with a passion for engineering and wants to kick start their career. You will start from scratch, including shadowing Senior Engineers and taking advantage of their extensive knowledge whilst embarking on an internal training programme which will result in significant career development opportunities.
In this role, you will be travelling nationwide to learn how to install and service alarm systems which have been set up, whilst using the master panels to fault find and reprogramme them in order to restore them to full working capacity.
The role is initially working part-time and on an on-call basis but will become a full-time opportunity.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• NVQ level 2 in relevant engineering discipline preferred but not essential
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
• Possess natural ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
• Previous experience working with hand and power tools advantageous
• Full UK driving license and transport essential

• Travel across the UK to various client sites, including retailers, hospitals, schools and care homes
• Shadow Engineers in the workshop to learn how to assemble alarm systems and perform rigorous testing
• Learn how to program and code master control panel for remote support
• Learn how to service, repair and install alarm systems, panic buttons etc.
• Learn how to read and interpret assembly wiring diagrams
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations
• Provide a high level of customer service to clients
