DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Junior Finance Assistant with a strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft software to join our expanding team, previous healthcare experience is not mandatory. Graduate level candidates welcome to apply.
As a Junior Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Xero Accounting Software and working experience of Primary Care / NHS. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development for someone who is willing to learn and adapt to the evolving needs of our business.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, reconciling bank, and maintaining general ledgers. Maintain debtors / creditors/ journals.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to gather financial data and provide support in preparing & setting financial reports and budgets.
  • Utilise Excel extensively to organise and analyse financial data, create reports, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Working with data such as PCSE, DES / LES,
  • Work closely in assisting with financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring of expenses.
  • Preparing and submitting payroll & pensions for your entity. NHS pensions knowledge / experience is a bonus. Monthly reconciliation & submissions required.
  • Show initiative to propose improvements to finance activities, processes, and procedures.
