We are seeking 2 skilled and motivated junior level Financial Analysts to join our dynamic team in Real Estate Development (1 in Ottawa and 1 in Toronto). QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Entry level experience in financial analysis, preferably within the real estate industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including Excel and real estate software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of real estate market dynamics, development processes, and financial metrics.

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Our 2 new junior level Financial Analysts will join an all star team responsible for evaluating and supporting the financial aspects of real estate projects. These are ideal roles for recent grads who are keen to analyze project feasibility, monitor financial performance, and support data-informed decision-making.
For insight, we are opening these positions because we need your help to jump in and assist when and as needed. These roles are ideal for someone with an eagerness to grow, who is crazy smart and ready to work on amazing projects - no joke! We are searching for 2 individuals who will bring passion and energy to our culture and who will excel in a high growth environment. You will need strong financial acumen and analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial modeling, and a passion for everything real estate acquisition, development and management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to the duties typically expected of a junior level analyst supporting a Financial team, the successful incumbents will also be responsible for:

  • Market Research: Perform in-depth market analysis to evaluate trends, demand, and competitive positioning within the real estate sector.
  • Project Feasibility Analysis: With direction, conduct detailed financial feasibility studies for new and existing real estate development projects, including cost analysis, ROI, and break-even analysis.
  • Financial Modeling: Create and manage complex financial models to evaluate development scenarios, cash flow projections, and investment opportunities.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Maintain and refine project budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor project financial performance against budgets, timelines, and key milestones, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify financial risks and opportunities, ensuring proactive risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external consultants, such as architects, contractors, and financiers, to align financial objectives with project goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, reporting standards, and corporate governance policies.
