Job Description

To complete our team in Luxembourg, we are looking for a Junior Financial Controller to cover the following tasks:

  • Ensure the daily recording of transactions (general and analytical) for Luxembourg and its branches
  • Contribute to the reconciliation of intra-group accounts, including with the sister bank in Switzerland
  • Take charge of finance-related tasks such as the payment of invoices and expense claims, and the calculation of commissions
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual closings (Lux GAAP, IFRS or applicable standards)
  • Preparing calculations relating to external asset managers and business introducers (internal or external)
  • Prepare various regulatory or tax declarations (VAT, CSSF, BCL declarations, etc.) under supervision
  • Participate in the automation of accounting processes (banking ERP, digital tools)
  • Ensure the correct application of accounting procedures and current banking regulatory standards
  • Working with internal and external auditors during audit assignments
  • Assist with the consolidation of accounting data for the European branches
  • Monitor & update budgets and forecasts for Mirabaud Group entities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher education in accounting, finance or management;
  • Initial experience in accounting, ideally in the banking or financial sector;
  • Basic knowledge of Luxembourg accounting standards (LUX GAAP), familiarity with IFRS would be an asset;
  • Excellent command of MS Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word…) Temenos & SAP knowledge a plus;
  • Analytical mind, rigor, organisational skills and respect for deadlines;
  • Team spirit and willingness to learn in a multicultural environment;
  • Fluent French and English (written and spoken), Spanish is an asset;
