For our Global Controlling team, we are looking for a Junior Group Financial Controller based in Barcelona. Reporting to the Group Head of Controlling, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of financial information and reporting, supporting the Regional Finance Leaders in their daily operations for their respective entities. Additionally, you will be involved in process improvements to identify and implement changes in the related area. Key Responsibilities •Develop, maintain, and enhance Group reporting for Controlling team and Senior Management. •Perform cost control, forecast, monitoring and deviation analysis. •Coordinate the completion of the monthly closing schedule as per Group deadlines. •Support annual budget cycle and analyses on Group level. •Assist in the financial reporting preparation for subsidiaries •Participate in Group projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement activities. •Ensure compliance with internal controls and group financial policies. •Collaborate on-site with the Alten Group Controlling team by working 2–3 days per week from their Barcelona Offices. Experience & Background •Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field •1 - 3 years of experience in a similar role or previous experience in Accounting or Audit. •Strong sense of ownership and autonomy, with the ability to proactively manage responsibilities •Curiosity for innovation and openness to transformation, especially in digital tools and process improvements •Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, plus proficient in Power Point. •Fluency in English is a must (written and spoken).
