DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Junior Tester to work on project that will sustain a command-and-control system for the Mobility Air Force. As a part of a cross-functional team, your work will support the effectiveness of several communities of active-duty and civilian users. Your work will ensure all new features work as expected and a that existing features continue to work for users as normal.
You will primarily use SmartBear’s Test Complete tool to create test cases. You will review the requirements for the system change which specify acceptance criteria. Your job is to create tests that fully validate changes to the system meet the acceptance criteria. You will also test for expected error conditions and run other tests you and others created to verify no existing functionality was negatively impacted by the change. Finally, you will create “smoke tests”—tests that reasonably validate the changes without making the change itself. The smoke tests are run in the operational environment. Using the SmartBear tool, you will parameterize the tests to make them useful in automated testing pipelines. The same tests can be run with different parameters to exercise all of the functional cases efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer engineering preferred.
  • 2+ Years of Development or Automated Test Experience
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
Responsibilities
  • Expanding the breadth and depth of automated testing, test parameterization, and automation to make full use of a cloud environment.
  • Follow Agile development methodologies to iteratively create tests and systematically expand the breadth of regression tests.
  • Parameterize tests
  • Manage tests as code. Use version management for all test suites and test parameters.
  • Work with team members in adopting and strengthening test automation techniques. Work with developers to ensure they are writing code that the testing tool can seamlessly use for greater testing fidelity (e.g. unique HTML IDs and Classes, API definitions for better integration testing)
