Company Description MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines. METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions. We are looking to expand the WE GAS/LNG team by hiring a Junior Structurer. The goal is to hire a candidate who would support commodity analytics and trading activities by focusing on WE Gas and LNG markets. Job Description Support the execution and booking of physical and financial gas and LNG transactions Assist in the validation of trade pricing structures, contractual terms, and deal parameters Support the development of a comprehensive analytical framework for modelling and forecasting medium-to-long-term LNG and Gas Support the LNG and Gas Analytics Prepare and maintain scenarios to serve as inputs for energy prices forecasting models Analyse the potential impacts of major events, policy, and geopolitical developments on energy markets Analyze key macroeconomic data, research trends in energy-intensive sectors (fertilizers, chemicals, metals, etc.), and supply-demand dynamics within relevant value chains (minerals, metals, etc.), with focus on identifying potential impacts on energy demand Liaise with Operations, Risk, Middle Office, and Finance teams to ensure accurate trade capture facilitate the smooth lifecycle management of deals Collaborate with data analytics team on expanding our global economic data coverage and notification system Qualifications Initial 0-2 years experience in an energy trading environment or commodities sector, internship experience welcome Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics; Master’s degree a plus Strong research, analytical, and quantitative skills (econometric and statistical modelling) Proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, or other analytical tools is an advantage. Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex analyses in a clear and concise manner. Highly motivated, curious, and eager to learn within a fast-paced trading environment.
