Description

Our organization is looking for a Junior Geologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for logging and interpreting exploration diamond drill holes, surface mapping and sampling, and other assigned duties. They will also be expected to provide recommendations for potential sites and assist in the development of geological models. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in geology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Logging core (rock type, alterations, structures, veining, sampling, etc.).
  • Performing geological field work as needed (silt/soil sample collection, mapping, etc.).
  • Assist in preparing geological reports and maps.
  • Develop geological models and theories.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geosciences or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of geology
  • Priority and commitment to safety.
  • Proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Skills using GIS software such as QGIS.
  • Comfortable working in remote locations in all weather and terrian types.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $400.00-$450.00 per day
