Responsibilities

WHAT WILL I BE DOING IN MY NEW ROLE?

  • Working with a Senior Geospatial Engineer as part of a field teams on the project.
  • Support the Senior Geospatial Engineer in all aspect of field surveying.
  • Primary survey control establishment & densification to industry best practice.
  • Utilise modern survey methods and instrumentation such as Total Stations, GNSS, UAV, HDS, imaging tools, GPS, data collectors.
  • Volume surveys.
  • Validation surveys with GNSS, Total Station & Laser Scanning.
  • Prepare set-out data for import into instrumentation.
  • Record surveying information accurately and consistently on site to the agreed specification and scope
  • Utilisation of post processing software such as AutoCAD, StarNet and Leica Cyclone
  • Routine instrumentation & accessory calibration checks.
  • Any other duties as required by the Senior Geospatial Engineer.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

  • Ideally suited to a recent graduate or someone looking to enter the geospatial profession.
  • Preferably has a relevant qualification (Surveying, Geomatics or Engineering).
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of surveying and geospatial engineering, especially control networks. is preferrable
  • Experience working in construction.
  • Experience with HD Laser Scanning technology and software (desired but not essential).
  • Possess a full clean German / International Drivers’ licence.
  • The right to work in the Germany.
