About Us Since starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 22 business units with over 350 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate Geotech professionals, providing quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, mining and energy sectors. Our Perth-based tailings team is looking to bring on graduate-level or junior (2 - 3 years' experience) geotechnical engineer with an interest in the geotechnical design of tailings storage facilities. The position is available immediately. Key Responsibilities Working with the technical team to develop, provide and promote design solutions, options and initiatives to meet client needs Undertake field work including site investigations, construction phase support and site inspections. Work with the senior technical team to contribute to detailed designs for projects ranging from building foundations to temporary works, infrastructure and tailings storage facilities. Undertake technical and non-technical tasks and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of our work Qualifications/Experience/Attributes Qualified Geotechnical/Civil Engineer Good analytical skills Prior knowledge of geotechnical design software will be viewed favourably but it is not essential (Plaxis, Rocscience Slide, RSPile, Settle3, LimitState Geo etc.) Experience working on tailings storage facilities is preferred but not necessary. Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail is a must Current Aus drivers license Combination of office-based and field-based work, ability to travel What We Offer Flexible start and finish times 9-day fortnight Additional day leave on your birthday.
