Description

ABOUT US

CBH is a leader in the Australian grain industry and the country’s largest co-operative. Our work has meaning and is creating an exciting future - we’re delivering WA’s grain to the world. Our advanced logistics network stretches across the State, connecting the growers of WA with our people, and providing opportunities for career growth in different roles and locations.
Looking for a company where good people go places? We are what you’re looking for. We are CBH.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Grain Protection Program, providing an entry level opportunity for individuals interested in a career in fumigation and pest control management.
While previous experience is a bonus, full training and support will be provided to help you gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed!
This two-year, full-time program begins with six months of structured training at our Australian Grain Centre (AGC) in Forrestfield, where you’ll work within our Grain Technology team. Once trained, you’ll transition to a regional CBH site, supporting our Operations teams and applying your new skills in real-world settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Playing a part in supporting the Grain Protection personnel throughout our regional network with the implementation and ongoing monitoring of Grain Protection and fumigation processes
  • Completing all required training and receiving ongoing professional development and mentoring
  • Assisting with grain fumigations and ensure the fumigation structure and fumigation performance meets standards
  • Recognising and responding to possible contaminations from insects, rodents, birds and other external threats to reduce or remove the risk in the area
  • Undertake weed control programs, the implementation of rodent and feral bird control programs, hygiene checks and associated activities
  • Assisting Grain Technology to verify activities to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, standards and codes of practices
