Why this role is worth your time
This isn't a "make the logo bigger" role. You'll be working directly alongside our Design Director and design team, contributing to client projects from day one. You'll get to stamp your own personality on the work, explore your passion for design, and be mentored by industry professionals who want to see you grow - not just fill a seat.
This is a casual role based in our Perth studio, 2-3 days a week - ideal if you're building your portfolio, studying, or looking for flexible hours while you sharpen your craft on real briefs for real clients.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Design Director and design team to create materials that span print, digital and video
- Bringing brand materials to life for our clients - brochures, flyers, templates, advertisements, eDMs, social posts and website updates
- Following brand guidelines closely while still finding room to bring your own ideas to the table
- Juggling multiple projects and deadlines without breaking a sweat
- Contributing to team brainstorms - your ideas are welcome here, not just your output
What you'll bring
- A Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Finished Art, Web Design or similar
- Confidence on Mac, with solid skills across Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), plus Keynote, Figma and Canva or similar tools
- An eye for typography, layout and detail - the kind that notices when something's a pixel off
- A working knowledge of pre-press and production processes
- Strong time management, and the ability to stay cool under deadline pressure
- Great communication skills
- You can take direction and run with it, but you're not afraid to pitch your own ideas
What you'll get
- Mentorship from experienced brand, marketing and design professionals
- Real client exposure across corporate, retail, event and social design
- A flexible, creative studio environment in the heart of Perth
