Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Junior High Teacher to teach Science, Grade 7 Math, and Options at Namao School. This position runs from September 3, 2025, to January 30, 2026.
Located just minutes north of Edmonton, Namao School serves approximately 400 students from Kindergarten to Grade 9. With strong academics, diverse programming, and a supportive community, Namao is a welcoming school where students and staff thrive.

• Teach Junior High Science, Grade 7 Math, and Options courses
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking
• Support diverse learners with differentiated instruction and assessment practices
• Build strong classroom relationships that encourage student growth
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance programming and share best practicesContribute to the broader school community through involvement in initiatives and activities

What You Bring

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Experience teaching Junior High students, particularly in Science and Math
• Experience delivering engaging STEAM programming
• Knowledge of Options/CTF programming and strategies to support diverse learners
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
• Collaborative approach with excellent communication and organizational abilities
