Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Junior HR Business Partner, reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, will provide expert guidance and advice on Employee Relations (ER) matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely case management. Acting as a trusted partner, you will support managers with complex HR queries and help maintain a proactive, high-performing HR function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Employee Relations Support
  • Manage a variety of ER cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance, and AWOL.
  • Provide high-quality, pragmatic advice in line with employment legislation and company policies. o Support investigations, hearings, and meetings as an HR representative.
  • Ensure accurate case management documentation, including writing disciplinary packs, outcome letters, and reports.
  1. Policy & Compliance
  • Interpret and advise on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application.
  • Contribute to developing and updating policies, embedding best practices aligned with current legislation.
  1. Case Management
  • Use the HR ticketing system to track and respond to enquiries efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date records on the HR case management system.
  1. Change Management
  • Lead and support managers through TUPE transfers, redundancies, and other organisational changes.
  • Collaborate on formal consultation processes and ensure compliance with due diligence.
  1. Absence Management
  • Advise managers on absence cases, liaising with Occupational Health where necessary.

Support return-to-work processes and strategies to reduce absence rates.

  1. HR Project Support
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects that enhance organisational performance.
